I love the photo of them both sitting in the car , she is a doll xx
This reminds me when I asked my landlords here in Cornwall if it was safe to leave the bedroom door open at night for some air. At the cottage (not the big house where we are now) there are lovely French doors out to the back patio, but no other windows. So if you want air, you need to crack the French doors. I wasn't thinking humans coming in so much as rats or racoons. My landlady looked at me like I was nuts when I mentioned that. I think she was insulted at the idea of rats and simply baffled by the raccoon mention. Apparently no racoons in Cornwall then?Of course, anyone can break into any house given the motivation (we have plenty of cordless tools which could do that in a matter of minutes), but it just doesn't sit well to intentionally put in a hole that a person could fit through![]()
I lock it and then slip a metal plate over it and that is secured at the top, would be difficult to break into. I hope!I just can't see how they're secure, even if locked? You have a hole in your house that a person could fit through, and from the ones I've seen they're not exactly robust - little more than a large cat flap, and we already know that those are a disaster for burglaries as it is.

Cassie is the opposite end of ridiculous! No, we wouldn't do that for security reasons. I wouldn't be happy having a Labrador-sized opening in the door
Also, there is no way that Squidge would come back in. She won't push open the door to come in if it's ajar just in case Willow is in the kitchen. She's ridiculous. Shadow, who has actually gone for her when she was a puppy, she'll barge right past. Willow, who raises an eyebrow in her direction if there's a chance she may be after the other end of the sofa, is too scary to deal with. Ridiculous.
Do it!That is soooooooooo sweet.
I think i need a puppy.
Being out in the world makes her more calm and observant - we were surprised she only tried to jump out twice (but was secured so she couldn’t). She’s just too damn heavy to carry - which is all we did with Quinn! There is no way I could get my hyper pup River in that
The same with Rourke! In the morning I have to tell him to go and have a wee in the special area dog loo. Otherwise he doesn't go again until noon when I take him down the lane. He will pee again when we are out late afternoon and as far as I know, not again until 9 am the next morning when I direct him to the dog loo!Cassie is the opposite end of ridiculous!
She will not either wee or poo in the garden, always waiting to go the other side of the gate.
It's rather endearing that she wants to keep the area clean, but I do sometimes wish that I could just open the door and.she would just pop out and relieve herself! But no, we have to go with her !
