Private field

We have been thinking about getting water up there - your answers have probably decided that one. Thanks.
We don't have good parking, but we are thinking that people will bring their car into the field (then they can shelter in it too). We'll hire out for (say) an hour at a time, but leave (say) 15 minutes between slots so there is no overlap. One of the rules will be "don't arrive early, and leave promptly". Do you think that will work?

Good idea to have parking at the entrance in the field itself , for safety reasons . The lady Reuben goes to has a huge field , she always pulls the van in through the gates and then closes them before the dogs are allowed out . Re the water , an alternative to having water laid on is to maybe have a tow type water bowser , just a small one would suffice for drinking water x

I think you might need to have an area of gravel/ hardcore for the cars leading into the field otherwise in winter the entrance is likely to get very churned up. For me adequate parking is more important than water, though that is nice to have.

Hope @edzbird doesn't mind but thought I would tag our new adventure today onto this thread. We hired a half acre field for an hour, Just to give some stress free time of letting Bear run free without any hassle. His confidence level in doing his own thing is super high right now ๐Ÿคฏ.

It was quite nice, I didn't plan much, we did some recalls between me and OH, some sit stays, a few minutes of loose lead walking while OH did some tricks with Monty. A bit of throwing the tennis ball and frisbee which we don't get to do often. I have a puppy dummy which we tried hiding in various bits of the grass edges, with a sprat resting on top - but they were a bit rubbish at finding it ๐Ÿ˜‚. The ashby canal runs right along side the field so I think it would be good to hire for just half an hour to run off some steam then do a short walk on the canal path as an hour was a bit long. As ever, each dog had complete FOMO for whatever the other was doing.

For @Rosie it had a box of clean poo bags, but no bin to leave full bags in. A big bucket of clean water with a lid and a water bowl so no direct supply needed. It had a picnic bench, plus a bench under a large rigid plastic gazebo type structure. Stock fencing, but only 1.2 metre high. And a small hard standing area to drive into.
If we book it again I think I need more of a plan for how to use the time.
The only annoying thing is I managed to let the farm gate swing into the side of my car, nice little dent and line of scratches. Grr.

Some pictures and a quick video, this is at the end of the hour so Monty is looking a little tired. I've left the end bit of the video in where Bear mugs my treat bag. ๐Ÿคจ
