Rain

We had heavy rain yesterday, first time in about 7 years—because the last time I remember walking in heavy rain was when Snowie was a puppy. Yesterday he was delighted to go out for his walk, rain won’t stop him. But I discovered something truly delightful: loose lead walking!!!! He realized he didn’t get raindrops in his eyes (that’s what disturbs him the most, keeps having to stop to rub the rain out of them) when he was under the umbrella, so he walked beautifully under the umbrella most of the time! I was quite worried for our way home down a very steep road, no doubt slippery in the rain. He usually yanks me down that road. Thankfully he stayed under the umbrella! Such beautiful walking!! Bring on the rain!!!

Thanks @Emily I just checked the forecast and rain is clearing tomorrow. Our long weekend looking nice now with sun and 19-22. Still freezing in the mornings and night time of course. The three of us are tucked up on the couch with the heater on watching state of origin footy (well actually I'm reading)

Homer loves the water but hates the rain. He'll start pacing around the house the it rains but will be happy to go out for a short walk, it's usually me that turns back if its raining.

I have raincoats for all weathers.

Nice warm ones for winter, thin ones for summer and in between ones for in-between.

I have three dog walking raincoats plus two pairs of waterproof trousers. Three ‘best’ raincoats too. I’m not extravagant - one of my dog walking raincoats is 20 years old and still totally waterproof (it has recently had a new zip)

I also have two huge ‘standing in the rain waiting for tiny puppy to wee’ umbrellas.

:)
