Re-visiting Stay and Recall 2

@UncleBob Lovely to see Harvey. Just a question, I thought you weren't supposed to recall a dog from a sit/stay as they anticipate it or something like that? Not that I would know but I use a long distance hand touch with Hattie to save my recall, works a treat. xx

Same as @Charlie, thought maybe your gundog trainer would rather you worked on one cue at a time? Although Harv has nailed the long stay by the looks of things. Also, if I am bringing Bramble in from a recall, I have her positioned at my side. In the gundog world, this would be the default position unless delivering a retrieve. Appreciate I am no expert, and probably talking out of my bottom!

@Charlie That's a fair point. However, we do this sort of thing fairly infrequently so I'm not overly concerned about anticipation (these 3 recordings have been the first 'staged' recalls in many months and we probably won't do any more for a while either).

@Beanwood Also a fair point. I'll blame my pre-occupation with trying to record the event ;)

The thing that our trainer has a real bee in her bonnet about, and which would have earned me a slapped wrist in the recordings, is ... leaving the dummy on the floor! (You can see the dummy when I look down at Harv at the end) This is a real pet peeve of hers - dogs should only have access to dummies that they have been sent for.
