I've just heard that the family who found him have said they will adopt him if he's not claimed after the statutory 20 day period. I hope that's true, he deserves a family!
ThreeSeven is my limit.
I think Bella will just change to Bella soon.. there’ll be no need for the “Foster dog”
I'm torn between wanting to keep her because she's just SO delicious, and wanting to have my best friends in Andorra (who have the twins' sister) take her. They're coming to stay in a couple of weeks, maybe, so we'll see what happensI think Bella will just change to Bella soon.. there’ll be no need for the “Foster dog”
It’s a bit on a plateau right now. It doesn’t help that she’s a young, excitable spaniel that gets bored halfway through a poopIs her nugget problem still improving @snowbunny ?
Chewie says to tell her that you can just waddle off and keep pooping. It’s a bit on a plateau right now. It doesn’t help that she’s a young, excitable spaniel that gets bored halfway through a poop![]()
But how wonderful that Bella now has TWO options, when just a short time ago she was in a nearly hopeless situation with her owner having died and her caretakers wanting to put her down after her 'accident'. You've turned all that around for her.I'm torn between wanting to keep her because she's just SO delicious, and wanting to have my best friends in Andorra (who have the twins' sister) take her.
It’s better than the alternative of him being vulnerable to parvo, though - and he has a family waiting who would love him. You’re doing the best thing for him under the circumstances. He doesn't make any noise when I'm not there, and seems perfectly content, but it's just not how I would choose to raise a puppy.
This. And I'm sure he is getting more attention than he would in the shelter environment - though obviously the people at the shelter have the best of intentions! It’s better than the alternative of him being vulnerable to parvo, though - and he has a family waiting who would love him. In the shelter, he would be in a small kennel with several other dogs/puppies, cleaned out twice a day, but the kennels are always covered in runny poo and wee because the dogs all have diarrhoea. He’d be let out into a drab compound once or twice in the day, and no significant time being cuddled. Because there are too many puppies, and other dogs, and not enough volunteers.This.
