Sickie Quinn

Thanks for the update, it sounds as though she's really on the mend now. Thank goodness for that.

Quinn's story really hit home as Ella stole and ate a couple of small corn cobs from the bin a few months ago. I now realise how lucky we were not to find ourselves in a similar situation.

We had corn cobs last night and, once we'd finished dinner, I took the scraps straight to the outside bin. I'm not risking them in the bin in the kitchen again...

Poor little sweetie glad she's feeling more herself. Hopefully she will start to feel better once she's eating her own food and putting a bit of weight back on

We were very diligent all summer with bringing the cobs to the bin right from the table, asking guests to do the same as well. It was a real fluke, as 3 other dogs ate some and all were fine. I even had Quinn drop what she had in her mouth and she did sick up some. Vet says pure bad luck really. We can only do so much!

Last update: Quinn got her stitches out tonight and everything has healed up nicely. She has a couple red spots so we have a topical cream for a week. She was so good and laid there nicely getting her stitches out and no issues going to the back room (in fact, better than the past year and a half!). We can slowly get back to regular exercise. Yay!
