Sikki Meg

So it's till going on. Yesterday evening she sicked up a small square (a bit less than 1cm) of something not quite as hard as a stone. I've saved it (yuk). Tomorrow we see the vet. That will be a whole trauma in itself. Maybe she can be examined in the back of the car.

She's just had me out in the garden in the rain, desperate to go out....not to be sick, but to play football.

If she's having tummy troubles the vets usually have easily digestible food they give their inmates after operations that you can usually buy from them.

I've no idea what they will do. My local vet is open again, but they have no spaces for a couple of weeks, so I'm going to the larger branch in Douglas. I said she was likely to be difficult to examine, she said there are more staff there to help. I'm hoping it just comes down to buying expensive vet food, but I'll know more tomorrow.

In the (likely) event she is difficult I will ask about medication for vet visits.

hmm.... I would like to know what they mean by this, and how they cater for nervous dogs? If you go down the route of medication, Trazodone is a good one to use.

I don't think sitting with her would have made a great deal of difference. She's just really scared. It's a pity they can't just knock her out. At least she will be starved so if they do suggest it you would have that option.
