Little bit of background. Sky was surrendered privately to one of the council run pounds in Ireland. I think she has been there roughly a month or so. It is very obvious she has been well-loved and happy in a home. She was a bit stressy and wound up when she arrived, but this is literally melting away and this gorgeous and very versatile personalty is coming through. You could do anything with her, she looks like she has come out of the gundog ring at Crufts, not a council run pound in Ireland.
So, a home had been sorted in the UK. At the last minute, the home that had been lined up dropped out. So, we were drafted in at the 11th hour to help out, otherwise she would have missed her transport, meaning another couple of weeks in the pound. What is annoying me, is this home is now back on the cards, I think with a bit of persuasion from the Guvnor. Of course, I am not privy to their conversations, and it may be a question of poor timing and cold feet. That though, is part and parcel of adopting. They come to you, warts and all.
