At lunchtime Lady lay down under the kitchen table and then refused some offcuts of ham. By teatime she had gone right off. Her tummy felt really tight so rushed her off for a 18:15 vet appointment.

Antibiotic jab, antiemetic, morphine plus antibiotic pills. Blood test. Emergency number in case she gets worse in the night and a review first thing tomorrow. Also high temperature.

Poor lamb she's so uncomfortable, but the morphine has zonked her out.

Fingers and paws crossed for a speedy recovery

Spent the night with her. At some point she started gut gurgling then passing huge quantities of gas and asked to go out. When she got back much panting and sitting up looking sorry for herself but then she got up and ate some special kibble and gravy I'd put out for her and settled down. This morning she's lying normally and not panting and her eyes look more normal so fingers crossed. Got a review with the vet at 08:45.
