Spencer - Guide Dog In Training 🐾

I know two Curlycoats, different as chalk from cheese they are! Most I have met have been plodders, but Gretel is a bright spark :). I would't want one, though I am sure they are very nice dogs, all dogs are lovely, but not for me to own one.

Pretty such Mags said that Keir's litter was the last of the flat coats - health issues in the breed.
Yes - he’s the end of the line. His aunty Sonia retired at Christmas and she was the last Flat Coat in the breeding system. :( His beautiful cousin Picasso is now a working Guide Dog and his puppy walker sees him often as he lives nearby.

He is very tall. Sure he should not be a catwalk model instead?

I know this may sounds weird, but would they pair him with a tall person given his height?

No, it’s not a weird question at all. They first look at walking speed, then height, then temperament. (Eg Keir likes routine and has been matched with a man who has a very clear routine. Molly loves to work in new places, she’s much more motivated then, so she’s been matched with a lady who lives on a narrow boat!)

Small dogs go to small people and tall dogs to tall people. The handle of the harness needs to be comfortable as the owner gets all their information through the harness.

I’m not sure how small trainers do with very tall dogs - maybe they give them tall trainers!
