I’m so proud of the boys and feel quite emotional to have got to this stage!

How wonderful to seeing them playing together. Kipper looks so happy! I knew he would get there with your guidance and gentle introductions, but confess to being a bit worried about how he was feeling about the whole puppy invasion. Well, the answer is, "Just peachy, thanks!"

I very much appreciate your confidence! We’re not there yet, I think it’s going to be a little while before there’s comfy cohabiting - but that’s okay, we’re making steady progress. We continue to have regular garden sessions with Stilton on lead and Kipper free to move about, and they’re learning each other’s body language. Kipper’s asked to play a couple of times but has very quickly found it too much so has withdrawn - and that’s the point of taking it slow, and he’s building confidence all the time. So we’re not unfettered, but we’re getting there!

I think you are being very wise with their relationship. I also understand that you need to ensure Kipper doesn't do any quick moves that could flare up his joints when playing with an energised puppy. They are both very lucky dogs to have you both caring for them. X

Here’s a quick clip of Stilton on our walk this morning. We saw a bus, a load of schoolchildren, a quad bike, lots of cars and some dogs. He was excellent at taking it all in and checking in along the way.
