Taken the plunge again

Anal glands don't bother me much...OH freaks out about the smell (people in glass houses....!!). Diarrhea on carpet is way more

Ferrets are interesting little things aren't they! :ROFLMAO:

I can't smell much I feel lucky a whole world or trauma avoided. We've had anal squirts all over the place (from dogs). Just wait until they get old with the slack muscles it's a crazy world of gunck. Ive had apologetic looks from Doug many a time when we sat on the sofa together. The only thing that bothers me is sputum human sputum. Don't like it.

But then I remember that Stanley is a demon and it stops me in my tracks
Ditto - just insert Maxx for Stanners

I'm intrigued (or more like terrified) about the popping of anal glands. I don't know what that is and it is freaking me out!

I think it depends on the dog...Quinn’s bugged her when she was a puppy and we brought her to the vet to get them expressed. It’s a strong fishy smell to me. From there, she’s been a fairly frequent “expressor” ? once she expressed them while having a doggy dream! Our neighbour is a vet and says it’s a good thing as lots of dogs are unable to express their glands and get infections and need to get them expressed etc.

I knew you Brits were soccer mad but seriously??
Yes seriously! (Just for the record, football is one sport I don't follow :))
You don't actually have to kick the poo... it's just that if you felt so inclined you could!
I'm not sure what function anal glands fulfill in dogs but I do know that they fill with fluid for whatever reason and that if not released they be
come uncomfortable for the dog concerned and can cause problems, but some dogs are not troubled at all.
If they have a diet that gives them firm kickable :) poos then more often than not the fluid gets expressed when they go so no problem!
@SteffiS, how is little Toffee today? I do love that name!
