Maja’s ML was very sweet and did tell me how much she appreciated not having to worry about Maja while she was gone. I’m really glad I was able to do that for her. And soooo adorable seeing how ecstatic they both were to see each other. ❤

As crazy as it sounds, I do miss her…to a point. 😆 She is such a character and there were no dull moments, but it also seems MUCH more peaceful in the house and Carbón is clearly happier. It’s like he de-aged by about 3 years instantaneously!

Maja is an odd character. Just catching up. Lying on Carbon and then biting his tail when she saw him? Strange dog! You’re a very good friend to look after her so Nadine can relax and enjoy her holiday. ❤ Why are you packing up in Regensburg? Where’s the next port of call?

We leave Regensburg tomorrow evening for a hotel near the airport and then Tuesday on to see ‘Cookie Man” (my dad) in California and my friend Mimi in Nevada. So that means everything out of this apartment (it will be someone else’s after Wednesday) and into my 1m2 storage locker. I did a big re-org and clean out in the last 2 months, but it’s still a ton of stuff to get out of the Old Town.

I gave myself the gift of the closer (expensive) car park tonight as Carbón and I had already walked 18 km back and forth to the normal place I rent a space for the TARDIS. It’s a perfectly fine car park if you don’t actually use your car (except for Italy, I only left Regensburg once this summer) but it’s a drag otherwise.

But nearly there - tomorrow will be mainly cleaning and packing my suitcase for the plane.

Oh it’s a lot more than that. You’d be surprised what you can fit in one square meter with determination and IKEA. 😉

The TARDIS can only hold half at a time, which means 2 car trips back and forth (the storage facility is outside Regensburg) and 4 trips up and down the Lilliputian elevator (but thank goodness for that elevator). I’m so glad to have done that all yesterday. Still a ton to do today before we take the train to our hotel, but there’s hope.

I may have lost my crown as I went back today and left more stuff. It’s chockablock now!

But Carbón and I are finally on the train to our hotel near the airport. Next stop is Cookie Man and I’m sure Carbón will have many things to say about THAT on his thread.

Thanks to you all who followed along on my Maja adventure. It really helped my morale to share it here. I feel we ended on a good note, but she was a tough customer at times, especially that first week. Buuuut I have to say I really liked the little monster regardless: you have to admire the sass!

Ok, next stop California. See you there! 😄
