I think Buddy is going to be a big lad too, he was 9.1kg at 10 weeks when the vet weighed him last week, and from our attempt at weighing him at home yesterday he is now 10.4kg at 11 weeks, although not sure how accurate our scales are!I`m not saying a word , Reubs was weighed again when he went to the Vets this morning , lets just say he is going to be a big lad x
I think all the forum dogs are just perfik x
Going good, toilet training is great, not many accidents and he has learnt to sit when told to. He also waits when told for his food. The biggest thing we are working on being left alone, he is fine during the day and goes in and out of his crate happily, but cries at night when we go to bed. We had the crate in our room for the first few nights, and in kitchen for the last 3, once he is settled he sleeps through, but there is crying and a long time to settle before that! How are things going with Buddy @NicW ?
Thanks Joy, we were debating whether to do this. Have to keep reminding ourselves he has only being home a week and is doing really well so far.@NicW If Buddy settles quickly if he's in your room with you then I would have the crate in with you for another few weeks. It doesn't mean he will never sleep alone, just that he still feels a bit insecure when left. I've had three dogs from puppyhood and each have slept in my room for several weeks but each also eventually slept downstairs alone.
