The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Carbon is such a good model, Rourke hates being photographed, wish I could get such super photos as you do Emily.
I pay him in cookies. 😉

He LOVES being photographed for that reason, and even works hard to come up with his own poses. Of course somehow he’s trained ME to also give him a cookie when I’m just taking a scenery shot too.

He’s very clever when it comes to training me. Sometimes I’ll just give him a cookie as we’re walking and afterwards I’ll think, “Now why did I do that?”. And I can hear Carbón thinking , “Claro qué sí, ML, because I am the BEST human-training Spanish gentleman dog ever!” 😂

Hola amigos! While the sun shines here in Cornbeefwall, we have been having many adventures, qué bien! For your viewing pleasure, I have convinced ML to share some of my gentlemanly adventures as she has been un poco stingy lately with my valiant gentlemanly modelling efforts. De verdad, truly it is not bueno to keep hiding me away!

Yesterday I had a big swim at Booby’s Bay, then we saw a real tall ship at sea. Contrary to what ML used to think, the name of the bay does not come from being a topless beach. Pfft! Where does she get these ideas? It is a very interesting beach though because sometimes at low tide, an old shipwreck gets uncovered. Maybe we could find buried pirate treasure!

Next a walking tour of Padstow, where I got cookies from my favorite store and we both enjoyed the quiet streets and watching the fishing boats come in.

Pues, we head to Holywell. ML was trying to go south to Porthleven for the day but we were foiled by the dreaded and dastardly A30 motorway closure. Abandon all hope, amigos! No, todo bien, it was fine because we went to Holywell up here in the north instead.

ML had the idea to walk to Perranpoth over the dunes from Holywell , but it was 23 degrees and I turn into a wilted Señor at 22 degrees, so instead she let me sit on her lap and drink water at the top of the hill. After a good rest, ML let me choose if we walked on to Perranporth or went to the beach at Holywell: let me tell you, I chose to SWIM, ojalá!

ML was worried that I was feeling ill because I could barely make it up the hill, but then I swam and played and ran in the water for two hours. She called me a “faking faker” but I could tell she was muy feliz, very happy that I suddenly found so much energy.

And that last photo is me refusing to get in the car in the car park. I never want good days to end, who can blame me?

Senor Carbon looking cosy in his drying coat, Rourke loves having his drying coat on as well. I do believe there are two dogs on here, who hate them  Super scenery.
I love my special coat. ML bought it for me when I was still a “foster dog”. That was when I knew I had her, ojalá! It is a leeeetle big for me, but she says that is so she can really wrap me up extra like a marvelous burrito. I do not remind her that burritos are Mexican and I am a Spanish señor, she means well, pobrecita.
