What a lovely trip!
ML highjacking again:

Highly recommended if you make it back to Cornwall with your pups! Only 9 pounds for me, Carbon free and welcomed like a king, and the time (45 minutes) was perfect for a doggie attention span. The only thing I would have changed is that I would have gotten Carbon in a different spot on the boat instead of directly on the floor over the motor. The motor vibrations are not too comfortable for a dog down there. That's one of the reasons that I wasn't too bothered when the guy up front lured Carbon up for some cuddles - it got him off the engine as well as a good distraction.

I still want to go to the seal sanctuary like you and @Sophiedoodle did, but that may have to wait until next year's visit. But that's ok - need to have things to look forward too.

Hola todos! Today ML kept her word and we had a day where I did not have to work at all. We dogs need some vacaciones sometimes too, you know! That meant that we started at the beach where I got to surf for an hour and a half. The tide was just right for me to catch some big waves but keep safe too.

Right at the end, another dog came onto our beach and I ran over to say "hola". ML understood that a new friend was just too much temptation for a gentleman such as myself and instead of getting angry, she clipped on my lead, handed me my ball and told me that it was time for breakfast. I love breakfast! So of course I was not mad that we had to leave. And to be honest, mis amigos, I had swallowed a lot of sea water and eaten a lot of sand, so I needed a big drink and a rest.

After breakfast and a little siesta, we got into the car and drove over to see Auntie Kate, Uncle Paul and my small friend Nellie. I looked all over for Reuben but he was not there. This made me a little sad until Auntie Kate made me delieeecious pizza and then I forgot about Reuben. Sorry, mi amigo, but...pizza. As a fellow Labrador, I am certain that he will forgive me. Unless Nellie tells him that I ate HIS pizza, then he may have a strong word for me the next time we meet!

Then we came home, I had my dinner. Now ML and I are enjoying the sunset on our sofa. It was maybe not quite as exciting as yesterday, but I think a day of surfing and friends is still pretty perfect. Plus as you can see, I got to give Auntie Kate besitos - what is better than that?

Muchísimas gracias for the pizza and cuddles, Auntie Kate!

Hola todos! It was yet another big holiday day for yours truly. First we went into Padstow so that I could train ML to give me cookies every time I look at another dog. She is coming along quite nicely with this skill, though sometimes she is a bit slow with the cookies. And once she tipped the cookie pouch onto the road by accident and that almost made my poor gentlemanly head explode.

This morning was a perfect day to go into town as it was filled to the brim with the human emmets (i.e. tourists) and their dog emmets because of the bank holiday. ML says that we are emmets too so I should not go casting aspersions, but I am no emmet, but rather a citizen of the world who is at home everywhere, including Cornwall. Pfft!

ML is probably an emmet though. She has that funny American accent and everything, que lastima. It is kind of embarrassing sometimes, but I love her anyway.

Donde estoy? Where was I? Oh sí, my training of ML. She is coming along quite nicely. I only had to shout at one dog while we were walking and that was because he was very rude and stuck his face into mine so I could not do the gentlemanly thing and walk on by while getting my cookie. I could tell that ML agreed with me as she only said, "You'restillaverygoodboyCarbonyoucan'talwaysbeperfect" and gave me a pat.

After an hour of ML training - and some sitting on the harbour watching all the people - we headed home where I took a much needed siesta. Then another siesta. Then dinner. And THEN an evening walk on the coast! We sat and watched for seals and surfers. What a good way to end the day!
