The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

And we are in thick and freezing fog in the West Midlands!
It is not freezing today - que bien! - but we have thick fog too. The sun went back to Spain after its one-day visit to Cornwall, quizas? I do not mind so much because we are having a siesta on the comfy sofa, Vale, ok, I am having a siesta, ML is catching up on some work on the computer.

Hope your ML foot is soon better Carbon
Muchas gracias, Cath. It is not too bad but she is using her cane again, which means I must be an extra special assistance dog to navigate around the cane. A decir la verdad, to tell the truth, I like the challenge as it makes my walks more interesting!

Last time her foot was like this, it lasted almost two years. Dios mio! So I am making sure that she takes care of it now so that we can again go on long walks very soon.

Yesterday we had a nice time with our amigos, but we were both sad to be in a new area of Cornwall and not explore around all day, especially with the sun. We cannot be in Pasty Land and NOT go on long walks, so we must work hard for the demon foot to feel better. Ojala!

You have a fabulous gentlemanly nose Carbón!

🐾🙂
You speak the truth very eloquently, amiga Mags. My nose is indeed divine!

My puppy amigos Syd and Fred came over today along with their ML, who owns our house here in Cornwall and lives next door. Lots of discussing happened and we are officially staying here in The Big House until the end of April. This is no surprise but it is nice to have it all discussed, no? Then we have the option of moving next door for the month of May, ojala! Syd and Fred's humans are taking them to Ireland in May, so that means ML and I could move in to their house. Then ML says, "Well, mmmm, I was thinking of going to Ireland in May too, so I'll think about it."

Que loca, what a crazy ML! She knows that neither one of us can resist Cornwall in May, even if we would love to see our friends in Ireland too. She is going to say "Sí", I know it! This is like that time that she called me a foster dog when everyone knew I was no such thing. Pfft! Sometimes I know better than she does what is already true!

No...that is not right. ALL THE TIME (not "sometimes") I know better than she does. It is only the truth, amigos.

Hola amigos! Yesterday we went on a walk where there was no sheep poo for me to eat and the most interesting thing I saw was two geese. ML said they were tougher than me so I stayed far away.

Close up they do look un poco homicidal.

I do not know what is wrong with Cornish animals this fin de semana, but after homicidal geese yesterday, we saw suicidal sheep today. Cuidado! Be careful my woolly amigas!

Look how high they are! And what a nice shadow dog I am!

Finally , a terrible thing happened: Monkey had a bath and blow dry. I do not like this. First I sit and worry as I supervise every step, then he smells funny. Pfft!

Now I am holding him very close and doing my best homicidal goose face so that ML stays far away from me and my best Monkey amigo!

Mother wosht awl mine befor Crissmus.
ALL at once?! A la vez?! The inhumanity! I am so sorry for your sad experience, amiga GGJ. I cannot imagine all my stuffy amigos being washed at once. I do believe my little corazon would just give out and stop beating. You are very strong!

I am lucky that ML is so very lazy and only does one of my stuffy amigos at a time. Still, it is very hard. I had just got Monkey to that perfect state where he was all crusty with spit and dirt from five countries. The culture that she washed away, can you imagine? Oh well, now I simply must work twice as hard to make him right again. We must be courageous!

Carbon Fren I hear you. Dad sed my Billy Bear is gunna get a barf this week. He smells perfect now so I don't unnerstand
Aye carumba, can you not take Billy and hide him somewhere where your ML cannot find him? I would do that with Monkey, but it is so long between washes that I let down my vigilance and - POW! - that is the day that my ML decides to wash him. She lives life on a whim, I tell you. Unlike myself who is very orderly and logical. Ojala, I will keep trying to train her. It is a long process.

I have SIX WHOLE mooses in my moose herd
That is INCREIBLE! I am in awe of your moose herd. Que maravilla! However I am relieved that you explained the photo, because I thought your ML was roasting them for dinner and that would be very disturbing. We do not eat our stuffy amigos. Vale, I did have that psychotic break last year and ate Elly's arm, but I regretted it immediately and now Elly has a bionic arm for which I am very grateful and shall never even nibble on. Well, ojala, hopefully.

@Emily_Babbelhund , I heard on the radio that one dog had to be opened up and had 5kg of sheep poo inside it - I thought of Carbon :D
Pfft! I DIGEST my sheep poo! That is the only way to enjoy it a second time, if you understand my meaning. But I do feel sorry for that poor dog who had to have an operation. You really have to build up to the Olympic level of poo eating that I am at now. You know this weekend on our group walk, the walking leader saw me having a bit of salad for lunch (aka "grass") during our break and told ML how it was because I had a dodgy tummy and that would make me throw up bile. ML just laughed at him and said, "He's just having a salad, he won't throw up!" . You could tell the man thought ML was silly and did not understand the way of us dogs. But ML understands VERY well the Way of Carbón. I eat my salad and I do not throw up, but of course, claro que si! Never underestimate a highly-trained Labrador digestive system.

Can we just check,. You're not supposed to tear stuffies into little bits and spread the fluff everywhere?
