Weeeee! ML was very boring staring at her computer screen all afternoon, but we now have homes for the next three weeks and she is mucho mas relajada, more relaxed. Quien sabía, who knew, but we are really not all that spontaneous after all.

The final itinerary? After Venice we will go to Rome, Siena, Florence. We may make another stop in our querida Venice before picking up the TARDIS in Regensburg. Then it is off to Cornbeefwall Land via Frogleg and Snail Land! It looks like I will NOT be practicing my Riverdance in Ireland - ML is a leeetle too worried about a bumpy ride on the Celtic Sea - but that just means we get to eat our delicious Cornish pasties sooner, no?

We have very exciting accommodations in both Siena and Florence. Siena is a restored medieval tower like they have in our Regensburg with the apartment on multiple levels and a terrace on top. Florence’s apartment is right next door to our Italian school and my querida Cecilia whom I visit every year. It also has a rooftop terrace and many, many stairs.

Oooooh, our legs will be on fuego but we will be so fit after our stay. Look out lady dogs of Italy, I will be even MORE guapo! Is that even possible , amigos?

We went to the beach today! A la playa! In Venice this means you take a noisy stinky boat - this part I could live without - and go to the next island called Lido. On Lido there are roads and cars and shops…and a beach. The signs say we dogs are not allowed, but we follow the example of locals and pay no attention to that sign. Viva la revolucíon!

ML brought a ball that she found on the beach one day in Cornwall. De verdad, it has travelled almost as much as we have.

Ah Snr Carbon, you are so wise beyond your handsomeness. I did not know there was a beach near Venice and perhaps we shall visit this place when we come to Venice next year

I was disappointed in Lido, but perhaps worth a visit.
It is true that the beach on Lido is not where all the tourists go and nothing like our favorite beaches in Cornbeefwall or Spain , but it is a wonderful break for us dogs to run free for a bit. Brogan used to love it annd I do too . Also if you would like a 100% authentic yet free memory of Venice, the beach has many, many little seashells which are fun to collect.

Lido has sort of a funny, faded, ghost town elegance in the winter but I cannot even imagine how crowded it must be in the summer. No dogs then for sure! Que lastima , because I bet in the summer there would be so many picnics on the beach for me to sample. How deleeecious would an Italian beach picnic be!

There are also several other more remote beach islands you can reach by ferry from Venice, Lido is just the closest. Traveller trip from your travel-savvy Señor and his beach-obsessed ML.

We are in “last two day” mode running around until my leeetle paws are sore, but here are a few more from yesterday. We went very early in the day and saw high tide on Burano for the first time. So much water! I do not like my feet wet, so ML was very careful to not make me model in water. It is good that she understands what a sensitive gentleman I am, ojalá!
