The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Stunning pictures @Emily_Babbelhund. Gosh I love this thread
Qué bien, muchas gracias! But really I think the credit goes to me, the model, no? Without me, it would just be a lot of travel photos of pretty places. I give everything that special “No se qué” (that is Spanish for “Je ne sais quoi”) that only a touch of a certain Spanish gentleman can add.

I wonder if the person who had him as a puppy and so carelessly 'threw him away' (or was he just lost) ever thinks of him? They could never imagine how lucky he is.
Querida Sonia, do not be sad about my past life or think about my past people too much. I am a very ‘en el momento’ kind of Señor and only know that without my being a puppy who got stuck in prison, I would have never gotten the chance to convince ML to break me out and go on adventures in the TARDIS.

So it all worked out very well, no?

ML does sometimes say she wished I had a leeetle history chip to tell her what went before we met, but I always say I am more interested in the future. As in…what deleeeecious thing will I find on the ground to eat next, or how soon in the future is my next breakfast?! These are the important things in life! ❤

Whew, amigos, it was another big day! We started with a Big Surf on Porthcothan, then we had another Photo Safari in Port Isaac. We were going to do a Big Walk after that, but I was getting faint from hunger so I convinced ML that we could do that another day.

There was one last nice surprise when we met a muy guapo dog in the car park who was also from Andalusia - qué bien! He and I were instant amigos and as distinguished and mature Spanish gentlemen, we relaxed in the sun as our humans talked about how wonderful we are.

Many photos to come, but here is my best surfing shot from this morning to get started:

Have you ever wondered what a Photo Safari is? Vale, ok, sometimes it is just ML walking around looking at where she can put me to make the most of my skills, but other times she picks out certain things to hunt for. Por ejemplo, for example, often she hunts lions in Italy, which is not preeeeecisley as exciting as it sounds:

See what I mean? She really could have used more Carbón in those shots. Pfft!

Pues, so, lately she is collecting Cornish blues, doorknobs, and street signs. Sí, it is a leeeetle weird, but I just go with it.

And because this entry really needs a leeetle Señor, here was our thinking spot for the day on the harbour at Port Isaac.

We are having so many adventures that it is hard to keep up, amigos! This is what happens when we are about to leave Cornwall for Germany. It makes ML sad so she runs around saying goodbye to everything one last time. But never fear, it does not make ME sad, because I am a positive Señor who knows that future adventures - and meals - are just as exciting.

Sí, sí, that is a leeeetle too deep for 6:30 in the morning, but that is how I roll. And also a way to introduce more photos of the last few days, all jumbled together. Ojalá!

First up, primero, here is more of our tour of the home of Doc Martin, Fisherman’s Friends, and more importantly, the amazing place where once a simpatico hombre on the harbour gave me half of his deleeeecious sandwich. That moment lives forever in my head, de verdad!

Port Isaac, te quiero, I love you.

A typical windy Cornish lane

A house with the Cornish flag. Ohhhh, could we live there?
IMG_9573.jpeg

Or maybe here, that would be muy bien too.
IMG_9587.jpeg

There are always many dog amigos to play with on the beach.

IMG_9578.jpeg

All the old fishermen’s houses are on little lanes that are fun to explore.

IMG_9592.jpeg

Oh, here I am posing my heart out!
IMG_9601.jpeg

A phone box that still has a phone in it. So rare it needed TWO poses to do it justice.
IMG_9619.jpeg

IMG_9614.jpeg

A wall? Who knows why ML takes some of these. Needs more Señor!

What a nice garden view.
IMG_9660.jpeg

Did you know lots of humans swim here? I think ML should try it so we could swim together!
IMG_9662.jpeg

Why does she take these no- Señor photos? Pfft!
IMG_9661.jpeg

Oh, that is better - our annual photo shoot spot outside the Doc Martin house.
IMG_9644.jpeg

A seagull amigo looking for his next pasty to steal.
IMG_9667.jpeg

And again, our thinking spot for the day, where I had a nice rest and thought deep thoughts. About dinner.
IMG_9672.jpeg

Back home again and a beautiful sunset. It was a good day, amigos.

Oh Emily where is that book, Carbon's travels, it would be a best seller with the wonderful photos and of course the handsome Senor Carbon.
They made me smile :inlove:
Buena idea, good idea, because ML still does not have a job - she is not even looking yet! - and my deleeeecious food does not buy itself. So MYSELF will write this book and keep us both in the manner to which I would like to become accustomed. Which means, claro, at least two breakfasts and two dinners a day!

Did you know Amigo Pongo is also a writer? Look what he sent me!0435d7d0-8d31-4b17-8c9e-89e58a6b9077.jpeg

I had a wonderful swimmy time on Constantine beach yesterday. In between my official job as the Most Guapo Beach Community Social Greeter who has ever graced Cornwall, I caught a few balls in the surf. But mainly I greeted - so many humans and dogs to meet!

Here I am waiting for ML to throw my precious ball . Hurry up, dios mio!
IMG_9733.jpeg

The water was warm and an amazing mix of Cornish blues. The wind, however, was a leeetle loco!
IMG_9775.jpeg

And some action shots of your Señor. I tell you amigos, it is not easy always looking this good, but I strive to succeed. Ojalá!

Weeee, do you see my ball in the air?

What a wonderful life he lives and so many people he meets and greets will remember that super black Lab and when the book comes out, they will say "oh I met him" :sun:
