The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Sorry, can't help feeling so sad you are leaving. I am sure though that there are splendid adventures ahead of you both.
Well, we’re not gone yet! Apparently French border control has chosen today to flex their muscles at the Eurotunnel causing 2-3 hour delays. So here we sit in a giant car park. As Carbón would say, “Pfft!”.

But thank you for the nice thoughts - as @Jacqui-S said to Carbón, he will do his best to make sure I don’t disappear over the summer. I’ll work on having some worthy Bavarian adventures to share!

We finally made it through passport control, but no idea how long it will take to get on a train.

For UK passport control, they asked me where I’d been, so I said (of course) “Cornwall”. He whistled and said, “THAT’S a long drive, you must really like it to go that far!” Well yes, I do as a matter of fact. 😁

Anyway, the stressful bits are over, now just waiting and (unfortunately) a six hour drive before I get to the hotel tonight. It’s going to be a late one!

The Señor is in a TARDIS travel coma and has no idea we’re even delayed. 😆

We’re now in a train, but they’ve turned off the engine and the air, no announcements on when/if the train will depart. I’ve been a huge fan of the Eurotunnel but may give the ferry a go next time, because this whole day has been an exercise in poor service. And it didn’t seem to be down to French customs as that was the fastest part of the whole process. So yep… think we’ll be ferrying it next time!

Carbón still doesn’t care and is enjoying his coma. 😉

So very frustrating and tiring for you.
