What a regal pose. 🥰

👑
Tu ves, you see, that is the spirit I was looking for! Si, si, that is me: regal!

Here are some more photos of my new kingdom.

Frighteningly large swans: I do not know why

A lone cow by the river: I do not know why

A doorbell: I know why, but not why ML took a photo of a boring doorbell

A river for me to swim in when I am not being king

And a closer view of my new house so you all know where to visit. What is the name of the castle? Who knows?

Not long now ❤
We’re spending our required night in Germany tonight and crossing tomorrow.

Very oddly we’ll be ‘camping’ on Romney March tomorrow night and then visiting @Granca early Saturday before the last big drive down to Padstow.

Carbón and I are both dead to the world tonight (it was a rough 9 hours in the car today), but still doing the happy dance inside. 🥳

No weather cancellations?
We’re crossing with the Eurotunnel so (knock on wood) hopefully we’ll be fine. You never know anymore: when we left the UK it took nearly 4 hours to cross due to delays.

My guess is tomorrow will be busy as a lot of people will shift off ferry service and onto the trains.

Nothing to do but show up and take my chances!

And both Carbón and I are through customs and waiting to board! I planned for the storm disruption in both motorway traffic and the Eurotunnel and there was none. Not even a hiccup over the new UK visa system for. Non-Europeans. Quite unhappy looking UK border agent but as long as he waved me through I’m all good (though hopefully he starts to have a better day).

If I’d known it would be this easy I would have planned to drive through to Padstow today, but better safe than sorry. We’ll have a nice rest in Dymchurch and then on to St Merryn tomorrow! 😀

Carbón was so cute when we got to the pet check in station in Coquelles: he knew suddenly just where we were going and his bounce came bouncing back! He was quite unhappy to leave Spain, so it was really a relief and joy for me to see. The old boy still has that puppy spirit! 🥰
Dear boy, it sounded as if he loved Spain. Soon be frolicking in Cornwall with his best friend :sun:
