Oh Emily, I can quite understand how you feel, when anything is wrong with our beloved dogs our insides seem to melt with fear. However, I am sure Carbon will be fine

Thanks so much for all the caring messages, it really helps. GGJ, Carbón says you are very sweet to offer to eat for him but NO GRACIAS, he’ll be wanting to eat for himself! 
He’s just gone in and I’ve asked them to give me a quick update after his X-rays. Of course if has more invisibly rotten teeth, I want them to be extracted now for his long-term health, but I also want to be mentally prepared if he walks out with half his teeth gone.
But the most important is that he walks out. Even with no teeth, he’ll find a way to eat just fine. Labrador power!
They’ve told me it’ll be about 3-4 hours, so now I settle in for a wait. I’ve got lots of videos and good wifi, so I’m set for the duration.

As I knew today would be no fun for the Señor, I took him to the nearest dog beach yesterday. He acted like a loon, even running up to a couple on a big beach blanket and sitting between them. Which would not have been all that bad except their BABY was already sitting between them. The baby thought it was hilarious and was completely unharmed, however I think the parents had a bit of a shock.
Otherwise he ran around, greeted all the dogs, and generally had a splendid time. He went into his procedure with sand still stuck to his feet - as it should be!

Now I’m just waiting for him to recover a bit from the GA. It was an easy extraction as the tooth was completely disintegrated the gum line so they just cleaned and cauterised it. X-rays showed no other teeth similarly affected. We got VERY lucky! I feel so much better and hopefully Carbón will soon too.
Thank you all again for the well wishes. I’m a big believer in the power of the Lambies and good thoughts in general. Today they did their thing!

He’s right as rain! Not even wobbly by the time we got home. I’m just so relieved that my boy is back in action.
I know it’s a bit silly to worry over something like a tooth extraction, but my brain just goes there. I’m grateful to the vet - who I didn’t know - and the power of the Señor to let NOTHING interfere with his dinner.

A couple recent adventures in Reno, where Carbón enjoyed swimmies and outings with Amiga Mimi.
