Hola amigos! Lo siento, I am sorry we have been so quiet during our stay in Venice. ML and I have to get caught up with all the Forum goings on now. Ojala! I hope everyone is well: our amigos with two legs and four legs both. ❤

I have been muy cansado, very tired, so have not been the most cooperative model. Everyone deserves a holiday, no?

The most fun I have had was at Lido, the beach, where I met a guapa Labrador lady who played and walked with me for two hours! Que bien!

Somehow I ran on the beach for a total of FOUR hours but as soon as ML wanted to take photos in the city , I could not lift my poor leeeetle head. This event has made ML call me a “faking faker”, to which I say “Pfft!”

ML says we may need some remedial assistance dog counselling when we are in Cornwall this winter. Puede ser, could be. She could use some polishing up for sure.

Pues, I am still posing for some photos and we have a lot to catch up on. I think I will have to share some after Venice, as we leave for Germany on Saturday.

But that is ok, no? Adventures remembered from my comfy sofa in Cornwall are lo mejor, the best!

We had a few days of sun our first week- que bien!

What grand photos , looking at the last one I reckon Reuben would have dived right in ! xxx
Oh, Auntie Kate, I had to learn! The first trip here, I tried to jump into the canals from the street and also off the water bus. It was so very tempting!

Some people say Venice is dirty, but it is NOT: the sea water is clear with lots of leeeetle fishes. That would be very nice for a swim, de verdad!

Now I am an old jaded Venetian expert who would never DARE jump into a canal. I think ML misses young and reckless me un poco, just a leeeetle, sabes?

Aaaaand that is a wrap for Venice! Our feet are so very tired that even though we are sad to leave tomorrow, we need a rest!

It was a beautiful sunny day, so ML took me to the beach. Que bien! I met a regal Venetian lady dog named Margot, and I played with my ball.

I know the way home from the beach so well now that ML played a game and just followed me where I wanted to go, even to the water bus. ML thought it was very funny, but claro que si, OF COURSE I know the way home: this is my seventh trip to Venice. I am an expert!

Pues, tomorrow the TARDIS will take us up into the Alps where we sleep near Salzburg, and then Sunday we will be in Regensburg. Where there is SNOW. Brrr! As a Spanish gentleman, I do not approve. ML had better put my leeeetle boots on me.

Some last day photos…

ML’s morning jog. I stay home for that because no one should be outside before 6 am. Pfft!

Weeeee! The beach!

With the exception of Constantine beach in Cornbeefwall, the Zattere is the best walk in the world.

Venice looks magical at 6am. How far do you jog each day? Carbon as usual fits perfectly in the scenery. Have a safe journey home, though I don't envy you the snow!

Todo facile, all easy: I took a siesta and just like that, we are in Germany! Not quite Regensburg, but near the Austrian border.

It is Krampus night, which means loud fireworks, so ML is grumpy. I am very brave so they do not bother me at all, but I must give ML extra cuddles.

Last night was a big moon for our last walk: que bonito!

And this morning, our hour ride on the water bus to get back to the TARDIS waiting for us across the lagoon. We love you, Venice! Ritorniamo! We will be back!

Hola amigos! Yesterday I had some wonderful news from my simpatica doctor lady, Frau Doktor Patzak.

For the last two months, we have been doing an experiment to stop my medication for leishmania, a muy malo leeeetle nasty that I caught during my prison time in Spain.

I am muy bueno, very good at taking my medication, and it has kept me free of the nasty in my blood for many years, but it makes my kidneys sad - and that makes my ML sad as it could mean my life is not as long as we both want it to be.

Two years ago we tried stopping my medication for two months, but the nasties came back to my blood plus I became anaemic. Que malo, very bad!

However we tried again and this time, I have vanquished the blood nasties like a true Spanish hero! No leishmania and no anaemia! Pues, I can continue to take no medication, which should help my kidneys be happier too!

Of course we will retest again in six months to monitor: we do not want the nasties coming back. But for now, we are muy feliz and ML is very proud of me.

And I must admit, I have a leeeetle extra pep in my gentlemanly step!

In other news, it is very grey and foggy in Germany. We miss the sun. Or even daylight. Can we go back to Italy already?

Today we tried to go sightseeing but the fog covered the sights. So we went home, ML built a fire, and we watched Doctor Who. Que bien!

Our leeeetle temporary house in the country. It is cute and the garden smells of cow poo. Que bien!
