The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

...and it is Carbon back for more. Then I really must go out for a wee in the snow. I love snow and I love turning snow yellow. I am an artiste that way.

Donde estoy? Where was I?

Ah si, our latest move. We are back in a village, but a different village. Now we are in this big house, where we have a corner of the bottom part.

Yesterday we took a walk in the snow. Foster lady would not let me run off leash, so I was happy and not happy at the same time. That means I looked kind of confused...
IMG_3609.jpg

Oh why can I not run in all that? Just look at it!
IMG_3613.jpg

And look what we saw in the forest with us...
IMG_3620.jpg

In the end, it was ok that I did not run. That's because foster lady got us LOST in the woods and we went in circles and circles for TWO HOURS. She kept muttering, "I hate trees, I hate snow, I hate tress, I hate snow!". Claro que si, of course, I could have found a way back to our house in 10 minutes, but I didn't because...well, two hours walking in snow is FUN!

Then last night, we went into my German town to meet Fine and her human in the Irish pub. Fine got her regular bed, but yesterday I was so tired from my snow walk that I looked at her and said, "Oh, mi pequeño amor, can I not have your comfy bed just for this evening?" Because Fine is a true lady, she hopped out...and I hopped in.

I did not quite fit, but close enough, no?

And that was my exciting day! Now I go to make the yellow snow! :dug:

I agree Emily, when things calm down and you have some down-time......like that will ever happen! and anyway then you wouldn't have any more to put in the book! That said, I think you already have enough for a trilogy

You inspire me everytime I have a big catch up on this thread. Good luck :sun:

Well I think it would be better than Roy Hattersley book, Buster's Diaries and that made him money. I don't know if you have ever read it Emily.
I didn't know about these books, so thank you for the introduction. Here's an article in the Guardian where Mr. Hattersley kind of reviews his dog's second book and is a good read in itself: Roy Hattersley: Buster: the sequel

The way he talks about Buster reminds me very much of Brogan in his golden years.

That's the problem, isn't it...if you are off having adventures it's hard to find the time to write the book! But seriously, thank you for the encouragement and maybe someday I'll have the courage to give it a shot. There's a huge difference, though, in posting in a pressure-free supportive cocoon like we have here on the forum vs. the big wild scary world out there.

On the other hand, I've managed to episodically overcome my irrational fears of trees and ferry rides for the greater good of human-dog co-adventure, so maybe there's hope for me.

We got snowed in today, which in truth was fine by me for a Sunday. The TARDIS has a foot of snow on top of it and Carbon went crazy running through the fluffy stuff. I enjoyed the massive white leather sofa and my new laptop.

I am, however, done with snow and the forest. Everything is in shades of grey and white which makes me feel like my optical nerves have somehow blown a gasket. I really need a beach and the smell of the ocean.

Too many trees around here.

I think they are starting to plot against me.
