The Pig at daycare

The Pig goes to daycare every Tuesday, it’s a couple who live on a small farm and the dogs have the run of the house and the farm yard and a paddock. Normally I am at work but now as I am on maternity leave I get to see her get picked up and dropped off and get a little report on her day. And I have found out she is like one of those really uncool geeky kids at school that hangs out with the teachers in the library at lunchtime instead of playing with the other kids :ROFLMAO: Yesterday, all the dogs were playing in the paddock mostly, and apparently the Pig spent the morning in the kitchen closely supervising daycare daddy fixing his boiler, and then the afternoon supervising daycare mummy doing the washing and then trimming the hedge. She sometimes has a little play but mostly just watches the others playing and then goes to stick her nose into whatever a human is doing. Funny little thing she is! It surprised me, as on walks, she is always keen to have a play with any dog she meets.

Hilarious!!

Sounds like the Perfect Pig to me  I love geeks! Hope you're putting your feet up while you can Lara xx
Finally getting to the end of my work ‘to do’ list and so had time for a nap today, had a nice walk with Piggy playing gundog games, and made some blackberry ice cream too - so finally embracing mat leave! I hope the hooman puppee waits another two weeks as could get used to this life of leisure!

Joy is similarly geeky at daycare and likes to watch what the staff are doing and yes, when we're out walking she loves to play with other dogs! I don't mind, I was a bit like that myself at school :geek:. Blackberry ice cream sounds rather wonderful, I'm going to have to have a go at that.

When I went on maternity leave I thought yes, finally I get to put my weery feet up, but no it wasn't to be, Sean arrived 5 weeks prematurely so that was the end of that, typical man!! Enjoy xxx
Oh no, if mine had arrived 5 weeks early she would have been born on a Great Western Railway train or on the circle line, thank god she didnt! To be honest if she takes after me or OH she ain't gonna be early for anything!

Stanley was the naughty one who broke into the cupboard to steal the pigs ears.

Hence why he is now banned from daycare
hahaha Stanley is one of the cool kids! Smoking behind the bike sheds...although if there had been a cupboard full of pigs ears I am pretty sure the Pig would have been on that one too. And actually she is the only one that isnt allowed off the lead on their pack walk because she would run off hunting - so one of those geeks with a wild dark side, perhaps!

I would recommend a recipe book by Kitty Travers called La Grotta Ices, she has amazing flavours and I have developed a bit of an addiction - she is all about using the whole plant in her recipes and has a blackcurrant ice cream where you infuse it with blackcurrant leaves as well as the fruit, and it is amazing :)
