This is Pickle...

A friend of mine has a dog named Pickle. Actually her name is Chelsea but as she's always in a pickle, "Pickle" is what stuck. I had to ask my friend the last time I visited her what Pickle's real name was...I'd completely forgotten because it never gets used!

I hope your Pickle is decidedly less pickledy than Pickle the Elder. :giggl:
I’m afraid that she is a complete pickle as the name was decided on after getting her. She is impossible to contain in any way as she can seemingly push/climb/crawl over, under, through and around any obstacle put in her way. The older dogs just watch in disbelief. I put her bed inside the pen to contain her and she used it as a trampoline to get out. I think that she must be part cocker, I’ve never seen such an agile Lab.

Sounds like a typical puppy to me. :)

Woo hoo...you'll never bored with that little one! :D

Pickle the Elder was a puppy with neurological issues at the Turkish shelter where my friend was volunteering. Everyone said she was going to die and my friend couldn't stand her to be in the shelter for her last days so she took her home. That was 10 years ago. Her back end still doesn't work as it should: her legs give out and she can't control her bladder so my friend ends up washing bedding several times a day (even with having several sets). She's a sweet thing who wants to sit on your lap but let's just say that's WAY to dangerous unless you're wearing a bin bag! During visits I spend a lot of time sitting next to her on the floor so we can cuddle without me getting wet trousers.

I do love hearing "Pickle! Piiiiiiiickle!" in a post English accent like yours and my friend's. Just makes me smile. :)

No, she is something else. I’ve had 4 puppies in the last 6 years and I’ve not had any as much trouble as this one.

I should been more savvy when I picked her up. The breeder put all the pups in the puppy pen while I held her and then left her loose in the garden while we did the paperwork in the kitchen. We all came back out to go home and she was nowhere to be found. We looked everywhere and then I pointed out to the breeder that she was back in the pen. Breeder didn’t believe me and said it was impossible as they could not escape out of pen and therefore she couldn’t get back in. Picked her up and checked, yes it was her! OMG!

Moo was like this and despite being hard work she learned fast and could do anything. She did have her own teleport and took some watching but she was a natural at anything she tried. Moos problem was boredom and an inexhaustible curiosity you just have to stay a head of her. Wish you luck

I think this is Maxx's problem. He needs to be into everything, craves attention and gets bored easily. We did almost zero training for our first dog Benson but he was just a chilled, obedient and calm dog. That's why are so bewildered with mad Maxx :xmasspirit:
