Just come back from a forest romp . When we pulled up , there was a transit van and another smaller van parked , and a lady standing by the larger vehicle from which much barking was heard . She went on to tell us that two of her greyhounds had legged it so her partner had gone to search for them . She said that this often happens , and no point worrying , they would come back when they were tired ! The noise from both vans was incredible when I got our two out , and she then said that they owned, wait for it ............... 6 Labradors , 4 Whippets , 3 Greyhounds and 2 Staffies ! 15 flippin dogs in total , she said it was chaos on the beach , I bet ! So I went off on my walk , I heard her partner calling the errant dogs from deep in the forest , and when I got back to the car an hour later , he had just returned with the runnaways on a piece of rope . To my amazement , he opened the door of the transit and just put them into the open space where about 10 other dogs were , so they were all lose in there , no restraints whatsoever . It seemed that the dogs in the smaller van were also lose in the back . They were both actually laughing and saying that some of their pack often took themselves off, but usually found their way back to the vehicles . It was the amount of dogs lose in the backs that worried me , no dog guards to stop them flying forward , can you imagine ?
