We have had a boxful of toilet roll tubes waiting for me to plant sweet peas in. I finally got round to planting this morning but had a few tubes left over which Kipper was very excited about- so we invented* a game called ‘kibble roll search’. You’ll probably have come across it in various forms, but could be a good wet weather game round the house, or round the garden etc.
(*pretty sure this isn’t new)
in short, take a tube, fold over one end:

Then stick a couple of kibble in (or other smelly treat) and fold up the other end:

Keeping the hound in another room, hide the tubes in reachable places (if this is an early game of ‘find it’ make it easy to keep it fun):

Tadaa! You can cue it with ‘find it!’ or similar to begin the game, and end with an ‘all done’ type phrase and a scatter to keep it upbeat.
