Trixie

Finally starting to see the yard take shape. Shamas joined Trixie and I outside as the weather is nice. He took up his place on the porch. I've laid him an anti-fatigue mat to lay on while he watches the goings on.

I've built a temporary 6 foot fence from old leftover wood from a fence we took down years ago to hold while I arrange for materials to replace the 5 foot fence at the end of the yard. Trixie learned that she can use the lower branches of the bushes at the end to help her scramble over the 5 foot fence. So I put the 6 foot on this side of those bushes. Lost about 3 feet of yard, but it's ok--the boundary line is intact and we couldn't use those 3 feet anyway. I'll need to arrange for delivery of the actual supplies for a fence, as we drive a chevy cruz. Couldn't fit a decent sized dog crate in that thing, definitely not taking fence posts LOL

Got a shade sail set up, so I can sit out. But I need to clear up the mess of stone and sand that was dumped there when the sidewalk was done. Sand I can use. Stone, I'll probably pile at the perimeter to prevent fence digging in specific trouble areas.

Now i'm looking at the bald patches. I'm thinking the running trail as they approach the house...I'll lay mulch. Perhaps expand the flower beds to line the sides.

The last 30 foot of yard is ALL dirt from Trixie running zoomies around the greenery back there. I'm thinking on that. She's got a literal track around the one tree! I might plant in some hardy moss or something......it needs to grow in shade. That area gets little to no sun by June.

And I need to dig up the Foxglove, which was bought last year on recommendation as a dog safe plant only to find it's VERY toxic.

Then I need to figure out where I'll plant the potatoes. Because if they're going to grow in my pantry, I may as well go along with it and shove em in the ground:cwl:

Trixie is 2 now

training is going well, though she’s reactive on a harness. Fine any other time just on a harness. I’m using it to take her on free walks, to try and work on that park. Oh and the window barking. Ugh.
But it’s not aggressive….she just has to tell me about every single passing dog. And then also sing about it for a few minutes. Because it’s exciting
