Two years on, my darling boy

Two years ago, I let him go from this awful bloody disease that is cancer . Sam had been diagnosed just a few weeks after his 5th birthday , with a poor prognosis . An unbelievably horrible time for us , our big strong lad , just heartbreaking .
Sam lives on in our hearts , I have been for a chat this morning at his final resting place at his beloved Golitha Falls , leaving with tears and an aching heart . I miss him , thats all I can say , just miss him and love him always xxxx

Thank you, for your lovely words . I am just so glad that we decided to have Reuben , life without a Labrador was very strange and alien to me . Of course I love little Nelly but having always had a gundog , I missed one terribly .
Sam was far too young to leave us , I had imagined him in his dotage, plodding along by my side but at least I have memories of a life well lived xxxxxx

Huge hugs to you Kate. I'm so glad you have Reuben and Nelly, but noone can replace Sam and he was such a special boy. You gave him the best life for all the time he was on earth, and loved him very well :hug:xxx

It's hard to believe that Sam has already been gone for two years: such a long time but a blink of an eye, if that makes sense. He's still very much with you and alive here with us thanks to you sharing your memories and photos of him. He's surely cheering you and young Reuben on...and joining in on your walks, especially at his favorite spots at the Falls.

Anniversaries are so tough: sending you love and hugs.
