Vacuuming—sooooooo much hair

Our new vacuum battery and filters have arrived so we can use the Dyson again! Like new, at a fraction of the cost. We do have a more powerful corded vacuum but only our cleaner uses that as we can't be bothered.

I have people round a lot, we are having a New Years dinner party tonight - but that’s not why I clean my floor so often. I like my clean, shiny floors. I have a little routine going. Get up, feed dogs, breakfast, swiffer, shower, walk dogs. Then in the evening wash up, swiffer, go in the front room to relax.

Finn’s hair loss is terrible. He moults throughout the year. There are peaks in certain month, where it becomes uncontrollable. I often wonders why he doesn’t become bald.....
Recently I bought a brush for grooming on my Dyson. So now Finn gets hovered......All hair disappears in our Dyson! Finn doesn’t like to be hovered but with enough treats he allows us to do this!

When I vacuumed the other day, I vacuumed Snowie. He withstood it for a few strokes and then moved away. I’d be interested to know how much hair got sucked off him.

Cassie as she has got older, sheds more hair than ever. It's constant, I did start a post on ' my dog is turning into a golden retriever ' it's that bad. Hundreds of pooky bits. Pull one pooky bit and another 10 appear.
At the moment I'm trying to brush her every day. I'm using ALL these brushes looking for the 'quick' fix.C4807BC8-5188-4DD2-A20C-2834E503ABD6.jpeg

I use a human ‘tangle teaser’ brush. It’s great because the hairs stick to it and don’t fly about while grooming. I groom Echo every day, as he will be throughout his life.

He’s not moulting just now - so not much hair. I expect plenty in the Spring to line the local birds’ nests!

Wow. I vacuum once a week and never have anyone round
Thankfully we don't have many visitors either. OH vacuums the loungeroom a couple of times a week and I do a good thorough all-house one on the weekend. In between there are tumbleweeds on the tumbleweeds. Especially in Summer

When we got home from our big trip the floor was hair-free but Maxx has been home for 22 hours now and it all begins again......
