It only lasted an hour, I (just) remember the rolling power cuts in the 80s, it was such an adventure as children! We were lucky to have solid fuel and lots of candles.

I well remember the days when living in the country and power cables went overhead any spell of windy or snowy weather would result in power cuts of varying lengths. Yes solid fuel and candles were necessities that's for sure!

We took the dogs to Golitha , the lanes were fine and the woods were deserted . Then we drove up to the moors , oh how beautiful it looked , this pony added to the magic xxx

Power cut for 2 hours, they then said it would go on another 4 hours, which would have meant I would be frozen and in the dark and no food! Fortunately a miracle happened and it came back on at 5pm rather than 8.30 pm!

I took one step out of the gate this morning and saw both sides of the pavement were very icy so I turned round. Osteoporosis has made me ultra cautious. Red has just settled back in her bed so reckon she’s not too disappointed not to be out on a walk. Will try again later

Terrified of slipping and injuring my hip and have been for years.
Now, I worry about not being able to look after us both, not being able to drive etc.
Icy conditions are the worst.
