Love a 🌈 - especially a double one

There was a rainbow here but I had to be out in the most tremendous thunderstorm and strong, painful hail to get it! Flicka and I were soaked to the skin. I have never been out in such a storm, very scary and yet strangely enough I wasn't as frightened as I normally am. Flicka wasn't bothered by the thunder which was overhead of us, or the lightning, but she hated the hail and was trembling.

Watched a storm approach last night. It culminated in an overhead strike at 10:35 (I was in bed by this time) which caused a power spike, taking our internet out. OH discovered and fixed it before heading off to work this morning.

It was so refreshing, thunder, lightning and rain. Everywhere feels rejuvenated this morning.

Amazing photo.
I do like that post sultry hot weather rain that sometimes happens. (Not the relentless drizzle and rain that goes on for weeks).

I think they do the weather better in the US. Many times we have driven by or through thunderstorms with sheet and forked lightening.
I appreciate its potentially dangerous but scary, beautiful and so powerful. (Plus also the rain seems to dry up in the blink of an eye)
