Poppy is something of a SYD; she is short and weighs 24-25 kg.

Merlin could be a founder member of the AYP (Average Yellow Pony) club... He's quite tall, and I fight hard to keep his weight under 35 kg.

Little Joy weighs just 18kg and is definitely an SBD. Looking through some old photos recently I have been struck by how much smaller she is than Solstice, her predecessor who weighed around 29 kg. She's such a funny, sweet, clever little girl.

On our walk this afternoon Joy met a lovely little Staffie and they had a great time playing together. We then went our separate ways but on the way home she and her owners were a little way ahead of us on the lane.Joy spotted her and I expected the pulling on the lead to start.... but it didn't! She just kept walking steadily on a loose lead, looking up at me and no doubt saying ' Look at me being GoodGirlJoy now where's the sausage?' So of course she got LOTS of sausage and praise and fuss.I'm so pleased with her. It's the first time she's managed not to pull with a distraction. I think we deserve an hour in the pub now.

Yes, she was a Good Girl there too, and let me stay for an hour and fifteen minutes. Longest time yet! Fast asleep at my feet now.
