What goes in must come out? Poop Warning

Over the last month or so Homer has not been producing a lot of poop. He's been on the same food, same amount as always but his poops are thinner, and more soft that usual. He'll do one smallish normal one, then two or three soft fingers, not much more than a mini poodle would produce. This is less that I remember him usually producing, which would fill a poopbag of quite solid poop.

Homer's farts have also become much more smelly with a different smell to usual.
The other day he was pacing around the house as he would do if thunder was due, although the sky was blue, Hubby said Homer was scared it might rain but I wonder if his tummy was uncomfortable.

Then there is the mystery of the unexplained missing socks...

Hubby says he's fine but I'm not so sure. Although in every other way he is his normal self.

I'd agree with Anne, @Shaz82 - if you think socks may have ended up in Homer (oh dear), it'd be wise to see the vet. I'd be concerned about the pacing, suggesting he's uncomfortable, and the different fart smells. How's his breath? One of the things I learned on dog first aid is that gut problems can manifest in smelly or poo-ey breath. I'd definitely make a vet appointment soon - sorry. If nothing else, it might be a gut imbalance and an easy dietary fix. And if it's worse, you'll be relieved you had him looked at.

So sorry, tagged @Shaz82 when I meant @JES72  That’ll teach me to browse while working!

He's a sock thief but not a sock eater, so I'm not sure about the socks. Hubby says he's not stupid enough to eat them. He would usually come to show us what he's got for a chase.
It's the change in the smell of his farts, he doesn't have any breath smell.

That’s about the same size as Stanley’s poops.

I always have missing socks as well. You could get him checked out but I wouldn’t be overly worried.
