We are in Austria on our way to Slovenia. We booked a hotel where dogs are allowed. We wrote that we would bring our Labrador Finn and they accepted. When we came in the hotel lobby the man sitting at the desk told us he thought we would bring our 8kg dog. Above this weight dogs aren’t allowed in the hotel.....Have you ever seen a lab of 8kg....?

Ugh. I know it seems unlikely, but a lot of people simply don't know dog breeds, even Labradors. Hopefully you were able to pull up your email and prove that he was accepted and they just need to deal (it's not your fault they didn't Google "Labrador" if they weren't sure). For the next stops, maybe supply Finn's weight to be on the safe side...

He said he wouldn’t send us away and that he for one time accepted Finn in the hotel. Hopefully the next hotel we will go to has not have the same issue.
We smiled and said thank you. Together we laughed out loud and said to Finn he has to loose some weight....

It is raining today , proper torrential stuff , Nelly hates rain x So we pull into the car park at the woods , I get her out of the car , she clocks the wet from above and climbs straight back in and onto Pauls knee , not making eye contact with me ! Just me and Reubs to get soaked then
