What made you smile today?

Was it a swear word. One of my lot had a first of bugger.
It was “collar”! The Pip’s favourite game currently is toddling at top speed to the pig’s nest (dragging me along by the hand), shouting “collarcollargollagollagolla!” then carefully selecting one of the Pig’s collars, before charging back to place it on the sofa, in her toy basket or on the floor. Then repeat the process, many, many times. OH blames me for instilling my own collar-obsessions on the Pip at such a young age 🙄

At last! The new stove is being fitted today! I'm hoping to be able to light it this evening but I seem to remember someone telling me you can't light them straight away but I can't remember why. Or was it that you have to just light a small fire to start with and gradually increase over a few days, sort of to 'temper' it? Does anyone else have experience of new stoves? It's all smile inducing anyway!

I can light my stove tonight! I was right, it does have to be tempered over a few days to allow it to expand and then contract again, but tonight GGJ and I will once more be sitting cosily by a fire! I'm so pleased that I've just had to order her a new downstairs bed! Well, the old one was wearing a bit thin.....:giggl:

Ooh I like it! How terribly exciting - Im still very into our wood burner, it’s such a fantastically diverting and warming addition :sun:

There’s also exotic delights like stove-top fans and flue thermometers if you fancy embellishing her in time
I'm glad yours is a she too! I was talking to mine whilst washing and lighting her and I just knew she was female! Here she is in all her so far somewhat subdued glory, complete with slightly girly mantelpiece embellishments!
