Yess! Pub is once a week and lasts for an hour or so, training is pretty much ongoing and is in short bursts only. Totally different level of treats required, carefully tailored to each situation. Or to put it more simply, if I only used training treats in the pub I would never complete a hooman to hooman conversation!

This makes me feel so much better Candy! I’m so pleased to be following in your wake, I was feeling a bit of a failure using higher value treats in the pub but of course it’s all part of the process

It is with Joy, otherwise she just doesn't get why she's there. Solstice on the other hand was totally gregarious and just loved being there for the attention from everyone, we never needed to take treats for her. I'm just working with the dog in front of me!

A wild & wet, blustery morning, a romp with 2 dogs...that's set my smile for the rest of the day.

Had my routine blood tests this morning , for diabetes , plus a blood pressure check . I`ve suffered high BP for about 25 years now and take a concoction of drugs to try and control but it still tends to be high to very high . Given the stresses of late , I was staggered to get a reading of 130/70 , staggered but very very pleased xx

That's great news @kateincornwall I wonder if Reuben might have something to do with that. Before I got Hattie I had very high blood pressure after having pre-eclampsia with Grace which didn't go for years so I was taking drugs. I got Hattie and hey presto blood pressure back to normal and remained so. Dogs are the best medicine. xx

It could be Helen , as I now walk miles with him most days , I`ve had to build it up slowly since my illness but am now back to normal , whatever that is ! I have not touched alcohol for months now, just dont want it and it now tastes horrible xx

A wet and windy day. A rather gloomy trudge round the supermarket, trying not to think about leaving the EU, whilst all the newspaper headlines I saw appeared to be celebrating it. Came out to this glorious sight! Lots of other people exclaiming about it and stopping to admire it and suddenly everyone was smiling.
