What made you smile today?

@Jen how do you get him in the carrier for a back carry? We would like to start back carrying soon as he is getting heavy and would love to look around more (and probably pull our hair more).

@Emily we are all too familiar with the suspiciously jaunty trot. :giggl:
We have a carrier similar to Jen's (it's a Katmandu one) and it has a stand so you can stand it up on the ground. OH does this but it's a pretty decent squat to stand up out of, especially when they get heavier.

If I used it and OH was at home, we'd get Nath in and then OH would lift the whole thing up onto my back. If I used it on my own, I set it up on the couch, got Nath in before I sat in the edge of the couch and just stood from there.

Oh cool. We have the Ergo 360 which can do a front or back carry but it is obviously less sturdy that those awesome hiking carriers. Once all this is over, if we do a trip to NZ or Tassie we will definitely need to look into one of those.

We have the ergo as well 🙂. The ergo is great for the smaller kids. We used it for ages with Nath. We just found that he got too heavy to wear on the front and he didn't like being on the back as he couldn't see anything. That's when we bought the hiking one 🙂

Yesterday I saw someone walking along the pavement with their toddler in a back-pack type carrier AND the most gorgeous Husky trotting beautifully on a loose lead by his side, without a hint of pulling. I wanted to applaud him!
Rowan isn't quite a toddler but I walk the dog with him in the carrier pretty regularly. Chewie is more of a dawdler than a puller. Got to check allllll the pee mail and sniff every single autumn leaf.
