"What did I do? What? I know I am always spectacular in any situation, so I am sure I did something wonderful! ML, oh...ML...where is my extra dinner because Candy says I am wonderful?! Or MAYBE if I really am exceptionally wonderful, Reuben would give me his chicken now that he is feeling in tip top shape?"The wonderful news about Carbón!![]()
Oops, I meant Reuben! Don't tell Carbón!Quite a few things have made me smile today, but here are the main two:
1. I put the cardboard tube from a finished roll of loo paper on the bathroom step thismorning to remind myself to take it downstairs for recycling. I then forgot it, having not seen it due to carrying a large load of washing downstairs to put in the machine. While I was eating my breakfast GGJ brought it down and put it at my feet!

Carbón, you are always wonderful and GGJ and I think that you have helped Reuben get better just by being his amigo!"What did I do? What? Or MAYBE if I really am exceptionally wonderful, Reuben would give me his chicken now that he is feeling in tip top shape?"

So hard to imagine the lovely Tatze as a crocopup!Memories of how I dealt with an elderly Cavalier (Gavin) and a ten week old crocapup (Tatze).

Apparently the word Ladstone comes from the Celtic for kill. There are various theories about the reason for the name, some people say the rock was used for human sacrifices long long ago, others think that it was where people found guilty of witchcraft were thrown to their death. Nowadays it's just a fascinating rock with names carved into it and beautiful views and a good spot to try and persuade your dog to pose for a photo. GGJ however was not really in the mood for modelling today! So I gave up and was about to turn away when I spotted this little gap in the rock with bluebells growing in it. I was surprised, there are no bluebells anywhere else on the moor.....then I peered a bit closer and......Dog hair! It just gets everywhere doesn't it? Made me chuckle though.

He couldnt believe his luck when I actually chucked his ball into the river , he retrieved it and then plodded up and down in the water in absolute heaven , Nelly just messed about at the edges , she thinks he is crackers
Great to read, so pleased Steve is feeling brighter and it must have been uplifting for you as well.We went to our local club for lunch with friends yesterday, our first outing since Steve's surgery. It was a gorgeous sunny day26 degrees - two weeks from winter! So nice after another wet and gloomy week.
What made me smile was being able to have a great meal, lots of laughs and watch Steve tuck into his steak and chips with much enthusiasm![]()
