What made you smile today?

Rowan likes to look at the MLF calendar with me. He points at each dog and I have to tell him about them. Today his face lit up when he saw Harvey "I love him! I want a dog like him." (@UncleBob) And he thought Kipper is a hilarious name because of the Flying Kipper from Thomas the Tank Engine... (@HAH).

That's so lovely

Jackson just points at every black or brown dog and says "ooh its Ella" and then every yellow dog and says "ooh botsy" being Roxy, my in-laws GR.

The wind is still wuthering, although calming down a little, the fire is gently crackling in the stove and there's a small Black Labrador snoring at my side. I should go to bed now but I'm too busy smiling!

This beautiful squash that I bought today made me smile. It's going to sit in the kitchen looking gorgeous for a while, then it's going to be turned into soup, which will also make me smile!

I doubt it unfortunately, I found it in Lidl. They usually have an interesting selection of squashes at this time of year.

We saw a whale frolicking from our hotel balcony today. And an eagle flying overhead.

And then we went to an amazing restaurant for dinner. We had bao, Xinjiang lamb skewers, charred rice noodles and Szechuan pork. So very full now!

Back home to the boys tomorrow. This morning we collected some seashells for Rowan's nature box.
