What made you smile today?

Last night we had a visit from Winnie Whippet, her first socialisation outing!
To meet Cass - the older, wiser, sensible and calm steady as a rock Labrador -- :cwl::cwl::cwl:

Not one bit of it -- she absolutely loved Winnie on sight and launched straight into "let's play" mode :tail::tail:I mean, she's 9 !

She weighs 27 kg, Winnie is barely Ikg and 10 weeks old !
But despite that the visit was a success with Winnie having time to explore aswell and it was clear that she wasn't intimidated by Cassies exuberance, as you could also see Cass trying to reign herself in a bit.

Cass has always been a girl of extremes, and mostly these days is the forgiving and tolerant Labrador, but it was good to see her gungho fun side come to the fore :laughdog:

We always called Solstice our 'Gungho girl'!
Go for it, Cassie!😃❤

We always take Nelly to the vets for her nail clipping as she has dew claws back and front, she screams the place down if we try to do the job so over to the nurses who know her well . She screams for them too but doesnt seem to bear any grudge . I took her the other day , my favourite two nurses took her into the back room and I sat in the waiting room , expecting the usual racket from the small one . Well , one very small protest scream and then silence ! The nurses were laughing when they brought her back to me , it made me smile when Nicole said , we couldnt believe it , one tiny cry and then we reckon she thought, hang on , I`ve been through far worse than this ! She submitted to the indignity without so much as a squeak

Well done Nelly. Now can you please tell Chewie it's not that bad! He doesn't scream but just walks away in a determined way... I've learnt that for any future dogs I want to focus more on cooperative care.

My little angel, lies down and rolls over and lets me cut her claws no problem 😊 😊 Have had nine dogs, the ninth is the only one who hasn't fought and screamed.
Joy does this for tooth cleaning. I have only to produce the tube of liver flavoured toothpaste and she lies down on her back with her paws in the air!
I've never needed to cut her claws.
