What made you smile today?

encouragement is so important too
Yes I am very careful not to ask questions - don’t want to be thought of as a fussy, nosey granny. So I let him chat and he told me so much without having to ask. It was lovely. I know his parents are very supportive but I really want to add an extra layer of support so he knows how much we all love him

Me and Rory went to baby massage today and he loved it.

Big smiles the entire time.

It was so nice to take him somewhere and know it didn’t matter if he cried or fussed because everyone had a young baby so we were all in the same boat. And he didn’t cry once ❤

You know people really don't mind a new mum with a little fussy baby as much as you'd think. I really think people are more understanding when it's a little baby.

An annoying three year old chucking a tantrum - not so much 🤦

When Nathan was little, we used to take him to a cafe, sit down but order a takeaway coffee. That way we could sit and enjoy our coffee but, if he completely lost it we could pick up our coffee and leave.

Yeah, I think you’re right @Emily . I’m very intolerant of children generally but tiny ones I cut a lot of slack, they’re bound to wail - it’s par for the course and basic lung development apart from anything else! Except on a plane - tricky.
