What made you smile today?

I am a bad pig mummy. The Pig’s present this year was me bringing her old bed in from the shed that she hadn’t laid on for a year 😂 because her sheep cushion has gone lumpy and upsets her! I’ll try to buy her a new cushion in the sales...
That’s my plan too. The beds I bought earlier in the year already feel a bit thin. Now what are the best beds...?!

Despite me telling him never to buy me clothes as a pressie ( after a few disastrous gifts ) , Paul bought me a jumper . Now I am usually quite good as hiding my true feelings, but I couldnt , it is hideous and I wonder how his mind works at times , maybe his stroke did more damage than we thought, in the perception department ? I wont post a photo as its from a well known store , and someone on here might have one and think it wonderful, but honestly , pink with raised bobbles , a very high roll neck and made of raggedy arsed wool :cwl: That wool which , as the body warms , sends you insane with itching and brings you out in a rash  . He asked Debbie to wrap it for him , she tells me of her horror , knowing I would hate it , thank goodness he saved the receipt , and thank goodness for a sense of humour xxx

I’m coming home the day after tomorrow.

I’ve loved it here with my family but definitely smiling at the thought of seeing Tatze and Echo again.

Mr Boogs and I are coming back to Heidelberg in February, to support my DIL when my son finishes his two month parental leave. A week at a time so the dogs can be at home with the other one.

What made me really smile was seeing a photo of @Natalie 's Dad at home.
Well done all of you for succeeding on springing him.
I do hope he has fared well xxx
Aw thanks @Jacqui-S Jaq , that's so nice of you to say. He even got a present from the Ward, a mini Dove set 😁.
He did so well, slept the first night downstairs as mum was dead to the world after a bit too much wine 🙄(another story) but Christmas day was nice, he ate a surprising amount ( he often has a poor appetite and is quite sick sometimes, to be expected on dialysis) but managed toast, mince pie and a jam tart for breakfast, mushrooms for a starter, a really big Christmas dinner for him, and then sticky toffee cake and custard ,and two biscuits with cheese later on. His diet isn't always the healthiest but it's simply about calories in for him now. He's smuggled mini pork pies back into hospital today when OH dropped him back and was back on dialysis by 12.30.

This is me with my parents last night, my dad's reclined on his end of the IMG_20191225_182346638_BURST001.jpgsofa, he's not that tiny!
