What made you smile today?

I feel like I'm living in a parallel universe........
I know what you mean. So much of what I see coming out of the UK is so blasé. I guess I was a week to ten days ago, too, so I can understand. But over here, even though local infections are still very low, it feels very, very real, and a true state of emergency. It seems ridiculous that the UK government are being so apparently obtuse.
Of course, I’m not in a position to say which is the best course of action overall, and there’s a real balancing act to deal with, but it seems obvious from here that the delaying tactics in the UK will lead to countless more deaths of otherwise healthy people - and not “just” the elderly and otherwise compromised that some seem to see as collateral damage.

Absolutely the same. It's hard to try to live life as normal with all of this going on. I just wonder where it will end and how much worse it will get? Today they said at least 20% of Australia will catch it and up to 60% could catch it. I'm not worried too much about myself but very worried about my Dad and my friend Sue who has cystic fibrosis. It is a shame, for the first time she is well enough to work outside the home and does secretarial work for her local church. She has had to stop and stay home at all times. Luckily my Dad chose this time for his bi-annual trip into remote country NSW so hopefully is isolated out there

In all of this doom and gloom, it was lovely to see our littlest boy in our ultrasound today. All structures, organs, blood vessels etc. looked as they should and he's measuring exactly to the due date.

It was also a little amusing to see him kick back at the sonographer every time she pressed a bit harder to see better :giggl:
Big smile from me xxxx
