What made you smile today?

That sounds great @Candy, I have worried about who would I call on for Cassie if I needed to, and like you I am particular about who I would choose. I am lucky currently to have my daughter here who I can trust of course, but it won't always be the case that she will be on hand.

Very nice for you to know that you have Fiona on board.

Yes, I feel much happier now. I'm in good health, take care of myself and am very rarely ill, but you just never know. Solstice was such a full on and confident dog that she would happily go off with anyone! Little Joy is so different and I feel I have to be really careful about who I entrust her to. It might sound strange, but it really needs to be someone who is fluent in Dog. Joy communicates very well in Dog, but less well in Human (Solstice was the opposite!) Fiona just totally speaks and understands Dog, and bases all her walks and interactions on this and that just feels good and safe to me. Also I think she'll end up being a good friend. One of the compensations of lockdown perhaps.

@Candy , I also used to worry about Reuben, if I couldnt walk him . Nelly loves walks but doesnt need them so much as he does and so having taken the plunge 8 months ago , I bless the day I found Anna . It is so hard as a loving caring owner , to hand over your precious dog but I have never regretted it , Friday is his play day and he loves it . If I say to him that Anna is coming, he is on the chair by the window in a flash , tail wagging in anticipation of a fun day ahead .Plans are good xxx
