I had mine done on Wednesday. First time since December. I walked in, she took one look and said, "Oh!"

We've been testing Holly's hearing while she recuperates. Today I found out that sliding a yoghurt lid half an inch along the kitchen bench can wake her up in her basket in the living room.

Just a little thing. Short training session with OtterPotterPants. Early days with directional training with steadiness to the fall. Otter loves training, and, whilst we both makes mistakes, it is more important that she is learning , thinking and enjoying what we are doing.

Otter knows when something isn't quite right, but she is never punished for it, and she still gets praise and a reward!

She just makes me smile, everyday....

Thank goodness for footy (Rugby league). I had just finished a few hours of gruelling housework when Maxx bounced up, all waggy, saying 'time to play Mum'. Then the footy went on and I was off the hook and able to sit down. Not that I don't love playing with him but I was beat!

I was out walking with the kids and Nathan spotted a lady and her dog walking towards us. I hadn't noticed yet so he called Ella and she recalled beautifully straight to him!

I have really noticed how well they get on now and Ella genuinely wants to spend time with him. You can see it in these crappy photos I took today

That is just so lovely. What a great relationship they have . I love watching my grandchildren with Red - when you see the things you have trained being used by a young person and your dog following beautifully - it’s very satisfying - as well as having fun of course

Raised a smile this morning when we went to Golitha , the cows and calves were in the river, many of them at the side of the path . Dilema , should I risk it or turn back ? I plodded on , Reuben was so good just watching me and ignoring them completely . Meanwhile the small one decided to stand at the waters edge and bark at them , swiftly put on lead, little monkey xx

She had some beef on the side for my dads tea. Stanley’s just eaten it

But I do think we’re going to have to do something about his counter surfing. He’s gotten so bad for it this past few weeks.

In the past 2 days he’s had some super noodles, some biscuits, some toast and now the beef.

We generally keep things out of reach but sometimes I have to quickly chase Rory and then he steals the opportunity.
