I’m surprised how early these are! I think it’sa stretched out season here, depending which direction the lane is pointing in.
First Swift's reported in the UK today and yesterday. Sounds like a few have come over very early

I told Paul that I had seen ` my ` frog ( the one I looked after when it was shattered ) in the pond . He asked , how did I know it was my frog ? Kept my face straight and said I called out to it and it came right over to the side of the pond

I walked for two hours today - the longest I have managed since the hip operation two months ago. Feeling very chuffed indeed. And the dogs had a lovely time - we did a bit of dummy training with them at the end of the walk. (Yes, I am the zombie-looking creature in the background.)

We have had Tess with us today, despite me having told her Dad off on Saturday for refusing the Covid vaccination! We walked for a good two and a half hours, they had ball games and swimmy fetch and were still playful when we got home. Luckily it's been (just about) warm enough to leave the back door open so they could play in the garden. Tess has gone home now and Joy is Veryvery sleepy. I love seeing them together, they're so fond of each other.

We are now in yellow zone, so our restrictions have lifted a bit effective yesterday. This means I get to see my Mom on her 89th Birthday today!! I can’t go in the retirement building, but if she’s up to it I’ll pick her up and we can go for a nice drive together. Maybe pick up some takeout for her. We still need to mask, and no hugs yet, but at least I’ll get to see her lovely face!

Oh yes , very happy ! There is never a moments doubt that he loves going , he goes crazy when he sees Anna come to the door and smothers her in sloppy kisses . I think it does him ( and me ! ) the world of good x

Well this might be wrong....but it made me smile, privately. I was walking Coco this morning - it was, for some reason, "busy" with more walkers than usual...all getting their exercise entitlement. I was hurrying a bit as there were 2 people approaching from behind. The more I hurried the further my knickers fell down. OK, I had trousers on which prevented total descent, but I was chuckling to myself, thinking "they don't know my bum's bare !" 
No point in hurrying anyway, Coco decided to suddenly stop to have a poo. The pair of walkers then crossed to avoid passing me as I stooped, knickerless bum in the air, to pick poo. Coco sat like a Veri Good Boi.
