That made me upset thinking of Flicka looking for me after I die and she has to be re-homed.
Super action photo.
OH gets this level of greeting after a day at work, or a trip to the shops... it's lovely.
I love taking βliveβ photos with my phone. I get some really great action shots that waySuper action photo.
LOVE thisMeg! Meg! Meg! This made me smile from ear to ear on Tuesday.
I took Meg to Dog School on Tuesday and Coco and OH stayed at home. When we got there we were mustering outside the barn. She saw Billy's mum L, and did her little tappy feet dance** and happily accepted a pat, ear scritch and a treat from L. Then Billy got out of the car and she was desperate to say hello, so I allowed a brief, on-lead greet, Billy threw himself on the floor and Meg sniffed and bowed. We went inside and we allowed another on-lead greet which went well. I had to move her away as Billy was then greeting other dogs & she got shouty and jealous. Billy is like Coco, he loves everyone.
The lesson went on without hitch. Meg was looking at Billy when he was stood next to us, but I discouraged interaction "no Meg, you're both supposed to be working". She lunged at him once BUT IN A FRIENDLY WAY.
At the end, the trainer asked Meg Billy to stay behind. We did a bit of on-lead play (Meg's lead is quite long - a 10 loop Grippy), that went well so Billy was let off. Still going well, I dropped Meg's lead and let it trail. They were playing so nicely, then I removed Meg's lead and they ran and chased, and bowled each other over, swapping chaser/chasee roles often. Meg was playing politely as she has done with Coco since the day they first met.
I was SO thrilled. I'd left my phone in the car, but L took a video. She will send it to me at some point - I'll post it then. I was talking to L yesterday, she said she thought I was going to cry when Meg was playing. I have to admit it was very moving.
** Meg has a special dance where she tappy-tappies her front feet - reserved for people who have taken the time to understand and bond with her. It usually ends with food.
She did the dance for D who came in with one of her 2 Fox Red labs, Rory. Meg usually hates Labs (sorry, cover your ears all you gorgeous Labs), but D came over to give Meg a bit of sossij, and Meg sniffed Rory on the nose! No snarling or lunging. Someone's swapped my dog![]()

He had to add his own decorative touches - Reuben has the heart of an artist, you know. One of those, do I laugh or cry moments , but I laughed ( eventually ) . My grandson Sam came over to paint all the doors in our hallway , I had arranged this to be on Reubens playgroup day because , well paint and Reuben ? All going so well , Sam doing a grand job , and not a drop of paint on the carpet . He had almost finished when the big lad came home , dashed down the hallway and, in his rush to see Sam, plonked his leg in the paint pot and then proceeded to charge up and down the hallwayAll I can add is , thank goodness it was satin finish and not gloss
xx
