Breakfast and coffee and cake with the 16 year old granddaughter. She is now studying at college and has a part time job. I am so proud of her as she has to do a fair bit of travelling and works unsociable hours as a life guard. She’s taking it in her stride. We have a catch up once a month on our own at a lovely cafe

The postman came with the Bonio biscuit. Red was desperate to eat it but she had to wait so we put it on the worktop. She’s now eaten it and is fast asleep

He's very sweet has his moments but has a great personality. He's just done his gundog beginners class and is starting grade 1 after Christmas.

My daughter put together this terrarium last evening. We had one in a carboy for years but it’s long gone. I like this one

They sit there all through the Spring, Summer and early Autumn, looking like nothing much at all, then just when you're pretty much giving up on the garden for the rest of the year, they remind you that they've been there all along, ready to cheer you up through the murky days to come.....which is why I love Hellebores
